Over 100 parents and interested citizens participated in the discussion. There was a strong recommendation from those present to pursue alternative options for league affiliation. The administration shared with the group that this transition typically takes as much as two years to complete. At the School Committee's direction the administration will pursue alternative options.
New Ethics Reform Bill Requirements
We are currently working with the Town Clerk to implement staff training and education requirements under the new state Ethics Reform Bill. All staff, including teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, support staff, custodians and maintenance staff will review a summary of the state's conflict of interest law by December 28th and acknowledge this information has been provided to them. As directed in the Ethics Reform Bill, volunteers may also be asked in the future to read the summary and complete the acknowledgement form.
